Description + Goal
Charleston’s regional economic development engine, CRDA, wanted to establish a pipeline of capable leaders with heightened executive presence. They wanted to align team member roles to the organization’s core values.
Solution + Services
We started by facilitating a conversation among the leadership team to develop a plan supporting their emerging leadership development goals while exploring growth opportunities and succession planning.
We provided one-on-one coaching to help individuals gain self-awareness and awareness of others, identify a clear vision for their personal and professional goals, and recognize areas for improvement and enhancement.
We helped them stretch beyond their comfort zones by practicing reading a situation’s emotional and interpersonal needs and responding to them. By practicing responses with personalized tips and action steps, they learned the value of stretching beyond their comfort zone.
Outcomes
The leadership pipeline at CRDA continues to grow, and organization leaders are now armed with a succession plan that will help them through short- and long-term changes. The organization plans to establish a new strategic plan involving ongoing professional development and coaching.
Our work with Align has been both productive and effective. In addition to providing guidance to our Leadership Team, Liz has worked with individual staff members to elevate their leadership skills.
